Hutt Weather uses information provided from a home weather station in Maungaraki, Lower Hutt in New Zealand. The information is fed into Brian Hamilton's Weather Display application, and then displayed using a combination of the Joomla Content Management system, and publicly available templates.

The site is hosted using our own servers, and updated around every 60 seconds, meaning reliability and bandwidth are important considerations. Updates are provided on a monthly basis at a minimum, and whenever extreme weather events take place in the region.

It's a great example of how live data can be displayed and updated on the web, and how delivery of complex information can be displayed quickly, cheaply and easily.
